It comes with the mic clip, data sheet, mic case and box shown. The SM77 had a very short run so you see very few of these around and seem to be quite collectible. Apparently this has the same overall performance as the American built SM57 with the exception of having a better mid range and was shorter and lighter than the SM57 making it easier to hold for longer periods of time. The SM77 came in three different colors and this one was the white scheme. Pic # 2 shows this series of mic in an older Shure advertisement showing it's basic uses and specs.
It should be noted that. This model has uber strong output and warm tone. This mic has been thoroughly cleaned and tested. The signal strength on this old mic is very strong and very clear...It's been said by many musicians that this particular microphone is great for vocals, broadcasting and drums. As you can see in the pictures provided there are signs of wear on the painted finish. It seems the paint has worn down and could possibly use a fresh coat?
The metal body shows zero pitting or fractures however. The white plastic fittings have no cracks, fractures or scuffs marks. The unusual black front screen shows no dents or tarnish. She certainly sounds better than she looks. The mic has a new inner foam screen / pop filter.
This helps greatly reduce unwanted "pops" from breathing and singing too close to the mic. Overall an good looking mic for a 40+ year old microphone and an easy 7 + on a scale of 1 - 10. The mic comes with a newer Shure mic clip that fits the mic perfectly and allows for a wide degree of tilt up and down. The softer compound of the newer clip is likely to scratch the paint. The mic takes a standard XLR cable which is not included. The mic does come with it's original data sheet seen in pic # 3 with a ton of technical data on this mic that will come in handy. There is a plastic mic case included that will keep the mic nice and snug when not in use.
Two new foam pads were installed and the original foam was falling apart. Case works great and closing mechanism works good too with just lite wear on the exterior of the case. The original hard to find box is also included. Shows very lite wear and a great place to store the mic when not in use.
