Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome. Every now and then I come across something that blows my mind just a little.
When I think I've see it all a microphone comes a long that I have never seen until now and this is one of them. You are looking at a very RARE 1970's era Dukane 7A882 model dynamic cardiod microphone based on the more common Shure 515SA dynamic cardioid microphone. This unique model utilizes that same element but has the Shure SM56 model body with the handsome stock dark green paint, built in shock mount and Dual Z switch.
This is a very attractive and practical mic that has fantastic sound and perfect uni-directional characteristics. This will do any singer or broadcaster justice. This mic has been tested and cleaned thoroughly. It's in perfect working condition as is the dual Z switch on the lower shock mount.Set at high impedance the mic gives you a clear warm tone. Less bass and great if you have a deeper voice like myself.
Set at Low Z it has more bass and great for somebody with a higher pitched voice. The mic can be turned off if you set the switch to the center position between High and Low. The painted body on this 7A882 shows very lite wear on the upper and lower sections of the body. Just a few lite scratches.
No pitting, fractures or engravings however. The front screen has zero deformation or tarnish and this has two new foam inner pop filters to cut down on unwanted "pops" from breathing or windy conditions. The DuKane label looks fantastic and completely legible. The joint mechanism works perfectly. The threading for the cable and stand are perfect... The mic takes a standard XLR cable which is provided. It's just 4 feet long but ideal for a HAM Radio or PA set up. The cable is soft, pliable and has the standard Switchcraft male 1/4 inch end connector. The mic does also come with a new exterior foam pop filter for improved performance that fits the mic like a glove. You can take it off or use it depending on your needs? The vintage mic case / box is also included and it's in great condition. The perfect place to store your mic when not in use to keep the scratches and dings away. The case is made of aluminum with a nice black vinyl exterior. The case is appx 10 inches across X 7 1/2 inches deep X 3 inches tall. The new foam pads will keep the mic safe and snug. There is a locking mechanism as well to keep the lid securely shut. Handle allows you to carry this easily.A great package deal all around and you'll really appreciate the case to keep everything in. This DuKane mic will screw onto any desk or floor stand as well. MICROPHONE STAND SHOWN IS NOT PART OF THIS SALE...
USED FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY. If you want a high quality mic that very few collectors or musicians have then will do the trick. This rare mic will only go up in value as the years go by making it a wise investment. As with all my vintage microphones for sale..I can promise you will be happy with it for the price paid. Simply return in the same nice condition... INTERNATIONAL BUYERS are welcome as well. If you have any questions feel free to ask and..
