Vintage 1990's Shure 545L dynamic cardioid microphone Low Z w extras SM57 545D 5

  

Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome. If you're a singer or drummer looking for something special with excellent sound quality and an old school style and flair then you might want to consider this classic Shure microphone. It's the 545L "Lavalier" model that could be used for a variety if purposes but this one is intended to be mounted on the Shure clip provided but can be handheld if needed. It comes with the original period Shure mic clip, Shure mic pouch and short cable shown. Pic # 2 is from an old 1970's era catalog showing this very model and it's basic characteristics.

This mic could either be screwed onto a flexible gooseneck or could slide onto a standard Shure A25 model mic clip giving you a couple different options. This is basically an SM-57 with the chrome finish and attached short cable. The sound on these mics are quite superb and especially good for use with drums. The Shure Brothers 545 model dynamic cardioid microphone has uber strong output and warm tone. This mic has excellent uni-directional characteristics.

The signal strength on this old mic is 100%. Like new and absolutely no issues. The 545 had distinctive looks and was a radical new design for Shure Brothers when it was first introduced to the world in 1960 with it's aggressive, simplistic and modern layout. It's been said by many musicians that the sound quality of this particular microphone is the best bang for the buck. Perfect for vocals, broadcasting and especially drums.

This example has almost no cosmetic wear. The polished chrome is free of scratches, scuff marks or pitting. The mic looks virtually new with no wear on the the Shure label. Still looks new and completely legible. Please let the detailed pics be your guide.

The front screen shows no dents, odors or tarnish. The foam inner pop filter is original and in excellent shape. This greatly helps reduce the unwanted "pops" you get from breathing or singing to close to the mic. The 5 foot attached cable is soft, pliable and in excellent condition. It comes with a quality Switchcraft male 1/4 inch connector as well that will work with most audio equipment and all guitar amplifiers.

Simply attach any longer 1/4 inch cable for extra length. Mic is a true 9 + on a scale of 1 - 10. They just don't come any nicer than this. The Shure black vinyl mic pouch is included and in excellent shape. Great place to keep the mic while not in actual mic as it keeps dust, dirt and scratches away.

The period Shure A-25 model mic clip is also included and a perfect fit for this mic grasping it nicely and giving it a wide degree of tilt up and down. It shows no wear and works excellent.

This mic will do you justice and should last 100 years if taken care of properly. They just built these mics so nicely and can take a ton of abuse.
