Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome. Here's a unique and somewhat smaller Shure mic with great sound quality. The model SM-62 dynamic cardioid microphone set at 150 OHMS or Low Z. It has a warm rich tone that you'll really appreciate and it comes with a mic clip and unique older E. V adapter in which to operate.

More on that in a minute. The signal strength on this SM-62 is very strong and very clear.

Like new and absolutely no issues! Pic # 2 is from a catalog I have showing the SM-62's characteristics and general use. T his is a 1980's model as it is made in the USA. The later SM-62 models were made in Mexico starting around the early to mid 1990's.

The SM-62 was manufactured for about 25 years and they are very lite weight making it easy to hold for prolonged periods of time. Quite smaller than the standard hand held mic. It's only 5 inches long X 1 1/4 wide at the tip. The SM-62 series has a very modern and classy look. It comes with it's stock silver / grey color scheme.

Not sure of the actual color but that's the best I can describe it. This is a high quality dynamic cardioid mic with uni-directional characteristics cancelling out all back ground noise. A perfect choice for broadcasting purposes. As you can see in the pictures provided there are very lite signs of wear on the original paint in the form of small scratches and scuff marks.

The Shure logo that encircles the mic shows very lite wear but completely legible. No tarnish, odors or deformation on the front screen. The original foam pop filter was replaced with a new one as the original was all but falling apart. The newer one really helps with unwanted feedback from talking or windy conditions.

Let the pics be your guide please. Mic is 100% complete and solid.

The adapter that the mic is attached to is an old Electro Voice type. I do not know the model number but I have come across quite a few of these over the years. The adapter allows you to attach most XLR type microphones but is ideal for smaller mics that don't weigh too much so the SM-62 is ideal.

The adapter has a built in on / off switch and a volume control dial giving you some great options to work with. The switch and dial but work perfectly and the adapter comes with a newer Audix mic clip so that you can either hold the adapter by hand or simply attach it to the mic clip for any desk or floor stand you have. The adapter also has a nice 6 foot cable with a quality Switchcraft male 1/4 inch end connector for use with most audio equipment and all guitar amplifiers.

The adapter looks very nice and is a quality build. The mic clip provides a very firm grip on the adapter and is a perfect match. An excellent working mic that's way above average for a 40 year old microphone and an easy 7 + on a scale of 1 - 10 physically speaking. Hook this one up and you are ready for any live event.

MICROPHONE STAND SHOWN IS NOT PART OF THIS SALE... USED FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY. I can promise you will be happy with it for the price paid. Simply return in the same nice condition...

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS are welcome as well. If you have any questions feel free to ask and..
