Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome. Here's a unique and somewhat obscure Shure mic with excellent sound quality. The Shure model SM-59 dynamic cardioid microphone set at 150 OHMS / Low Z w 15 to 50,000 HZ. It has a warm rich tone that you'll really appreciate and it comes with a mic clip that compliments the mic nicely as well as the original Shure metal mic case in which to store. Pic # 2 is from a catalog I have showing the SM-59's characteristics and general use. It was ideal for public speaking as well as broadcasting and these also happen to make superb guitar amp mics. The smaller SM-59 in not a well known model today but was a very high quality build with a rugged construction.

Interestingly enough the SM-59 happen to be a favorite mic of disgraced Evangelical T. V star Jim Bakker back in the day while performing live.

Serial # on this mic is 22179. Pic # 3 shows a side by side between an SM59 and a Shure SM58 of that time which gives you a perspective on the differences between the two. The SM-59 has excellent uni-directional characteristics. Pic # 4 shows Geddy Lee (lead singer of The band RUSH) using an SM-59 live in concert.

It has a very unique look with a longer head than most hand held mics you see typically. A very lite weight all metal body with a silver painted finish. These mics are built like tanks and can be handheld or placed in a mic clip. As you can see there are very lite signs of wear on the mic itself. One of the best I have come across in a while with just tiny scratches and scuff marks but no dents or fractures.

The Shure label looks very good as well and completely legible. An American made model before this mic was manufactured in Mexico sometime in the 1990's. The globe and screens are free of any dents, odors or tarnish.

This mic has a very nice new foam insert (pop filter) in the front and side grill that helps greatly with sound performance. Mic is 100% complete and solid.

MICROPHONE STAND SHOWN IS NOT PART OF THIS SALE... This example is an easy 8 on a scale of 1 - 10 physically speaking. The real beauty of this mic is the sound it produces. Hook this one up and you are ready for any live event.

It takes your standard XLR cable which is not included but easy to come by. Looks new and grips the mic firmly.

It will screw on to any American desk or floor stand. It's an A57D model that really holds the mic well. The original Shure mic case will do a great job of storing and protecting your mic while not in actual use. The metal case is free of heavy wear. It has the beautiful original painted finish and is an expensive Shure accessory that adds real value to the mic.

The locking mechanism works great and there are new pads / inserts as the original were all but wore out. If you're looking for a solid SM-59 with very nice looks...

I can promise you will be happy with it for the price paid. Simply return in the same nice condition... INTERNATIONAL BUYERS are welcome as well. If you have any questions feel free to ask and..
