Vintage 1980's Shure 579SB dynamic microphone Low Z w accessories 540 575 533SA

  
Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome. You are looking at a very nice and somewhat rare Shure Brothers 579SB model (omni-directional) dynamic microphone from the 1990's / 90's. This was a very modern design for Shure at the time and has a sleek, clean look to it.

This was great for general broadcasting and is set at Low impedance. It comes with the original mic clip and mic case in which to store the contents. You can see the mics characteristics in pic # 2 from an old Shure catalog I have.

The mic itself is 6 1/2 inches long X 1 1/2 inches wide at the grills bezel. Very lite weight and easy to hold for prolonged periods of time. The mic has a very mid range tone and a little on the dirtier side but the signal is strong and will be a fun piece to use for just about most situations. You rarely see these mics around and this one is an absolute gem. The 578 microphone was short run production Shure microphone manufactured for about 10 to 15 years and was initially made in the USA though production was eventually moved to Mexico in the late 80's or early 90's.

The mic was great for broadcasting purposes or recording purposes. As you can see in the pictures provided... This 579SB is in extremely nice condition having almost no wear at all. A really gorgeous piece with a handsome two tone brown on satin chrome design.

There are a couple of tiny scuff marks on the handle. The Shure label looks really good with just lite wear.

The on / off switch works very nice. The front screen is free of any tarnish, odors or dents.

The XLR pins were cleaned as well ensuring a perfect signal once a cable is attached. No cable is included but this mic takes a standard XLR cable to operate.

There is an original Shure mic clip included and it's perfect grasping the mic firmly and giving you a wide degree of tilt up and down. It will screw onto ant stand you have as well. The 579SB case does show wear but works great and still has the original foam pads. More than enough room in the case for any cable you want to store. Physically this 579SB is an easy 9 + on a scale of 1 - 10.
