Vintage 1940's Fatboy SHURE 55C Dynamic Microphone, withstand, original, works

  
Offering a vintage early 1940's SHURE Model 55 "Fatboy" Dynamic microphone. The 55 is hands down thee most recognized and iconic vintage microphone ever made. The Unidyne Model 55 body was said, at the time, to have a'futuristic look', but it was actually influenced by the Art Deco movement and, specifically, the front grill of the 1937 Oldsmobile Six convertible coupe! This early 1940's high-impedance model has been kept in nice condition with very mild signs of wear, slight warp on front bottom left rib. Testing produces strong output with a vintage audio profile favoring mid-range and slight bass roll-off... Think Elvis's "That's Alright Mama". Check out the voice sample on the listing video. The stand threads are in good shape, and the pivot joint holds the tilt angle strongly. A brand new Amphenol to XLR cable is included, as well as an Atlas heavy-weighted desk stand with chromed riser tube.
