Vintage 1960's Shure 51 microphone. You are looking at a beautiful 1960's era Shure Brothers 51 dynamic microphone. This 51 model made it's debut in the late 1940's and had a run of roughly 20 years until it was eventually discontinued in the mid to late 1960's for the more modern style hand held mics that were becoming far more practical. A cast zinc body with a glossy satin chrome finish. She's a real beauty.
The Shure 51 was a favorite of Nat King Cole's when performing live in concert and was a rugged design with a very unique look. The above microphone will screw onto any American desk or floor stand.
