You are looking at a 1953 (serial number 5323) Shure Brothers 55S model (2nd generation) unidyne dynamic cardioid microphone made famous by several musicians including a young Elvis Presley himself. Often referred to as the "Baby Unidyne" or the "Elvis mic" due to the Elvis Presley's on stage use of the mic.

The postal service would even come out with a stamp of Elvis singing into the Shure mic. The 55S; Slim, refined and elegant lines give this mic the attention it deserves. This 55S model started in 1951. A cast zinc body with a glossy satin chrome finish.

It comes with the period cables shown. Also, it comes with the period Atlas desk stand as shown. However, the stand union end connector is needed to connect to the mic outlet.
